When applying for a U.S. passport renewal, will my old passport be returned to me?
Yes. The old U.S. passport will be marked as invalid and returned unless the U.S. Department of State deems it to be damaged. Be sure to inform us if there are any valid visas in the passport before requesting a renewal.
How long must my passport be valid for international travel?

How many blank passport pages do I need to meet entrance requirements? What is considered a blank passport page?
Your U.S. passport should have sufficient blank pages to accommodate entry and exit immigration stamps for every country visited during your trip. At least one visa page in your U.S. passport is required for each visa. Stamped travel visas require an entire blank visa page. A visa page must be free and clear of inks or stains from other pages in the passport for it to be considered blank.
