Can I Travel to South Korea Without a Visa?
Yes, United States nationals can travel visa-free to South Korea for short stays of up to 90 days for tourism or business purposes.
Usually, you’d need to get a South Korea Electronic Travel Authorization (or K-ETA) in lieu of a valid visa. From April 1, 2023, to December 31, 2024, however, US nationals don’t need to get a K-ETA to enter Korea. If you need the equivalent of a multiple-entry visa, you can still apply for the K-ETA, but it’s not required.
